I be winner.

Who can be surprised, we all knew I was going to win right from the start. SpyDog, don't feel so bad, you just can't compare a game like How to Arkadi Strelka 2. I'm quite proud to say I won the first real kombination though.

This round of kombat is over. Now y'all better go and vote on who you want to see in the next round!

A response

In response to SpyDog's fictional story, I tried long and hard to come up with a game concept that would hint SpyDog's style and not suck... I couldn't come up with one, so instead I started on a sequel to one of my past games. I'm currently working on the online account system. Also, we must have different definitions of "miracle". By your definition of miracle all of my games are miracles. And in closing, my JK game is also almost finished, so I'll either publish a beta or v1.0 soon.

A Story

Gather 'round, kids. It's time for a story. Now, once upon a time there was a boy named WITS. He thought he was soooo amazing at game making. He even dared to accept the challenge of the mighty Spydog.

He posted on the JoltKombat blog about how his opponent was a dog, and how that was so lame, and blah blah blah. Then he actually played Spydog's games, and realized that he needed a miracle to beat his opponent's utter greatness.

"What have I done?" he thought. He then crawled under his desk, curled up in a ball, and rocked back and forth as he considered the brutality of his upcoming defeat. And he has remained under his desk ever since, never once daring to post a progress update on the JK blog. The end.

(Also, my JK game is almost finished. I'll publish a beta soon!)

Demo Time!

Here is a link to the demo of my JK entry, "How".

Read the description and tell me what you think! (And please don't rate it quite yet - right now I'd rather have comments than ratings!)

Progress Update

So...15 days after the contest has begun, I have accomplished the following in regards to my project:

  1. I came up with an idea
  2. I didn't like it
  3. I came up with another idea
  4. I built an engine for it
  5. I liked it
  6. I didn't know where to take it
  7. I gave up on it
  8. I suddenly got an idea for a character today
  9. I drew the character in GM
  10. It gave me an idea
  11. I built a quick engine/prototype for previously-mentioned idea
  12. I liked it and I might end up finishing it

Pretty impressive, eh? 12 whole bullet points. Of awesomeness. And ideas. And stuff. How can WITS possibly compete with that?

(In all seriousness, maybe I'll whip up a demo for y'all soon.)

My opponent is... A dog?

My opponent seems to think he is a both a spy, and a dog... O.o Oh sure, try to make fun of my name, never mind the fact that your name is pathetic. You need to be more careful with your bashing, this was all to easy to turn against you Mr.Doggy. Maybe I'll give you a head-start of a few days, seeing as you'll need it to stand a chance against me.

Oh, and this is a preview of what you're face will look like on December 6th:

Spydog is in the House!

Hey hey hey everyone! I go by the name Spydog. And I make games. Just because I want to.

A mini-bio: I am a Christian teenage homeschooler. I have made 13 games. Some of them are good. I enjoy coming up with innovative game concepts.

Now, the reason I am here: to prove my game-making superiority over WITS, a fellow indie developer. He has also been known to go by "W!TS" (the exclamation point is evidently to add some excitement to an otherwise fairly dull abbreviation) or "Guest 97354" (because he would rather be ID'd than have a real username).

The plan: WITS and I will each make a game before December 6th. And then we shall see whose project is awesomer. So...let the battle begin!

Voting Ends Soon!

Eight people are up for the challenge, but only three battles (six people) can happen at once! Vote for the three duels you'd like to see.
